Trail Spotlight: Twelve Mile Creek Greenway

The paved Town Creek Park Segment of the Twelve Mile Creek Greenway runs along the outskirts of the Prescott neighborhood, connecting residents and visitors to the Town Creek Park, tennis courts and other amenities in the neighborhood. The Greenway will soon connect to the 3.5-mile Twelve Mile Creek Trail in Lancaster, SC, creating over 4 miles of walking and biking trails.

 

Mineral Springs Greenway is a great natural surface trail to take your four-legged friend (including horses!) out for a walk. The 1.7-mile out-and-back trail also has picnic areas and benches so that you can stop and enjoy the nature that surrounds you!MineralSprings. Amy Moore. 7.2 (29)

The lake is home to Cane Creek Park, a family-oriented, water-based recreation facility encompassing 1,050 acres of land surrounding the 350-acre trophy bass lake. This makes for a naturally scenic environment for a variety of outdoor activities and peaceful relaxation year-round Cane Creek Lake is one of only three trophy bass lakes in North Carolina.

Rocky River

Rocky River starts in Iredell County near Mooresville, North Carolina, flows south into Cabarrus County, then continues southeastward to form the line between Stanly County, North Carolina; Union County, North Carolina; and Anson County, North Carolina. This river is known for its whitewater rafting and scenic beauty and has great opportunities for trails and access points.
