It’s that time of year! The Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies will be in peak bloom, and what better way to enjoy them than by boat! These wonderful flowers are being considered for the endangered species list and can only be found in a handful of southern states in the United States. This population of spider-lilies within Landsford Canal State Park is one of the largest remaining populations in the world.

This will be a moderate, flat-water paddle along a section of the the Catawba River, part of the Carolina Thread Trail blueway network.  We will take a leisurely paddle down the river to enjoy the beautiful blooms and then walk back up along the Landsford Canal Trail to enjoy a picnic lunch. You must be able to swim to participate in this event. All gear is provided.

Greenway Gals may choose to participate in either this paddle trip OR the paddle trip on XXXX.

A special thanks to our friends at Catawba River Expeditions for providing the gear and river guides!
