Join us for a roughly 20-mile, group road bicycle ride around the City of Charlotte. Exact route is to be determined. This on-road and paved greenway ride will highlight some of the City’s designated bicycle routes including sections of the Carolina Thread Trail. Bret, Carolina Thread Trail’s Community Coordinator, will start out with a quick overview of bike traffic laws and safety rules, and then we will hit the road! Part way through our ride, we will stop at a local establishment for a quick snack break.

  • To participate in this ride you MUST have experience riding in groups in an urban road setting. This ride is NOT intended for beginner riders or those uncomfortable interacting with traffic.
  • Must be a member (or guest) of Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) and/or Carolina Thread Trail (CTT). Not a member? There’s still time! Become a CLC member or CTT member today.

What is provided?

Join us for a 20-mile, group road bicycle ride around the City of Charlotte. This on-road ride will highlight some of the City’s designated bicycle routes and several sections of the Carolina Thread Trail (CTT) including Little Sugar Creek Greenway and Stewart Irwin Creek Greenway. Bret, CTT’s Community Coordinator and cycling aficionado, will start out with a quick reminder of bike traffic laws and safety rules, and then we will hit the road! We will stop at Rhino Market and Deli for a snack break before finishing our ride.
