Catawba River Greenway at Tuckaseege Park | Mount Holly, NC

The 1.0 mile long, ADA compliant Catawba River Greenway trail is located along the Catawba River and is made up of a 10-foot wide paved asphalt surface. It connects to a concrete trail loop that runs along Fites Creek, an important tributary for the Catawba, and past a newly constructed dog park and skate boarding park.

The main Carolina Thread Trail segment of the Catawba River Greenway will connect with this current segment in Tuckaseege Park on its northern and southern ends. There are primitive fishing spots and a canoe and kayak launch located alongside it, as well as a number of points where one can rest on a bench or swing.

The Catawba River has been an important part off this community for many generations. The name not only honors the River, but it also lets others know where the greenway is located.
