How To Use Our Volunteer Webpage

Carolina Thread Trail and Catawba Lands Conservancy has implemented a new system to manage our volunteer efforts. Use this webpage to explore the volunteer opportunities we offer across both organizations, track your hours if you are a Trail Master and create your customizable volunteer experience with us. The new webpage will improve our communication and help us get to know you so that we can create the volunteer opportunities that are most meaningful to you.

How to volunteer

To see volunteer opportunities, click on the type of opportunity in which you are interested.  You are able to view both Carolina Thread Trail and Catawba Lands Conservancy events.

In order to sign up for any volunteer opportunity, you must first create a volunteer profile. For detailed instructions click here: How to register as a volunteer.

Your Trail Master volunteer hours will now be automatically recorded when you register and attend a any workday where community volunteers assist including public, private (corporate partner) or Trail Master hosted volunteer workdays.

Submitting you hours – You will have to submit your hours for workdays that don’t coincide with a community workday where community volunteers attend like a Trail Master only workday or Trail Masters with staff only workday as well as adding drive and prep time for those volunteer workdays you do attend. Please login to your volunteer profile  and hit Record / Update Service Project Activity to enter in those hours.

Host a Volunteer Workday:

To submit a volunteer workday you’d like to host in your section of The Thread that we can promote and help recruit community volunteers to assist you, please submit the event online here and we’ll be in touch soon!
